Director Alfonso Moreno

Before the terminal boat ride, an old punk rocker travels back in space and time to try to make his life count. “What better subject than death to approach the story of an aging rocker? I’ve always been fascinated by the many ways with which humanity copes with the notion of its own expiration date. “Paying the Ferryman” is a story of life, death, the passing of time, and the relativity of human value.”

Director, Iwona Pasińska, Producer, Polish Dance Theatre

The visual layer of the film is co-created with ornamental motifs drawn from Stryjeńska's painting. Fragmentary narration is built of the words of traditional songs in the arrangement and performance of the Maliszów Band, which overlap with the language of contemporary dance.
